The best 20 minutes
you'll spend this year.
Six questions get asked of every tradie before any homeowner spends a dollar. Writing down the answers and putting them where they can be read — in a publication the homeowner already trusts — is the highest-leverage marketing move available to a working operator. Below is how the flyer + Member Profile turns those answers into work.
The six questions
It doesn't matter what trade you are.
"It doesn't matter what kind of trade you are. People are asking the same questions. The information, if posted to your Google business profile, or your website, or your LinkedIn company page, might just be the difference between winning more quality jobs and just being busy." — Antony Loomans, publisher

Your published answer (on the flyer + profile)
Realistic timeframe given your other commitments, open items called out.
- 06

Your published answer (on the flyer + profile)
Honest DIY boundary + alternative scopes + when another trade is better suited.
Why publish those answers here, not just on your own site
You could write the answers down on your own website. You should, in fact — and we'd recommend it. But there's a difference between publishing the answers on your own letterhead and publishing them on a publisher's letterhead that the homeowner has already learned to trust.
The Need A Trade guides at guides.needatrade.com.au are read by Australian homeowners before they reach your quote. By the time a Need A Trade flyer arrives in their letterbox, the homeowner knows the questions, knows what good answers look like, and knows the publisher behind the flyer answers to nobody on your side. Your name attached to that voice is worth more than your name on your own letterhead.
What the run gives you
A walked drop in your nominated suburb. Editorial voice. Heavy uncoated stock. Your name on the front, the publisher's masthead on the back. Single-trade exclusivity per suburb run — no competing flyers from us in the same drop. Return report showing addresses covered.
And, after the run is complete and the Code is intact: a reserved founding Member Profile at members.needatrade.com.au when the directory opens. Earliest publication date. Permanent founding-member tag.
What it doesn't give you
Leads. Rankings. Bidding wars. Verified-expert badges. "Best-of-suburb" claims. Workmanship warranties. We don't introduce homeowners to you and we don't pass any homeowner data to anyone. The flyer is a publisher artefact, not a marketplace seat.
If you're looking for a lead-gen platform, the flyer is not it — and that's exactly why the homeowner trusts it.
